On April 21, Xinwen Lianbo of CCTV-1, titled The main venue of the Chengdu Expo is fully completed, made a special report on China MCC5 of MCC leveraging its strong technological advantages to build core venues in the main venue of the International Horticultural Exhibition 2024 Chengdu (hereinafter referred to as “Chengdu Expo”) in a green and low-carbon way, demonstrating the Company's strong strength and remarkable brand.
The report pointed out that the Chengdu Expo will open on April 26, and 113 planned exhibition gardens and 6 core venues in the main venue have been fully completed. The concept of the Chengdu Expo is "Green, Low-carbon, Sustainable, Sharing and Inclusive". From building materials to energy supply, more than 20 links have fully implemented zero-carbon measures. Tens of thousands of steel components of Jinyun Tower, the landmark building of the main venue, are all digitally modeled in the processing plant in advance.
n an interview with reporters, Wang Pu, head of production of the Chengdu Expo Project of MCC's China MCC5, said that the steel component production of the five core venues of the Chengdu Expo, including Comprehensive Service Hall, Main Exhibition Hall, Jinyun Tower, Tianfu Renju Hall, and Botanical Hall, uses many automatic welding robots of China MCC5's Construction Science and Technology Industrial Park, whose efficiency is more than 3 times higher, compared with traditional manual construction. The construction methods of factory prefabrication and on-site assembly fully implement the green and low-carbon concept of the Chengdu Expo.
From the man-made waterfall of the core landscape of the 2021 Yangzhou Expo to the Dong'an Lake Park and open-air music park where the opening and closing ceremonies of the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games are located, and then to core venues in the main venue of the 2024 Chengdu Expo, China MCC5's high-quality products have continuously appeared on Xinwen Lianbo of CCTV-1, demonstrating the China Minmetals' excellent quality and the responsibility of central enterprises in supporting world-class events.
